Researchers from the Bank of England have sought to gain new insight into the UK labour market by tapping into data from millions of online job adverts.

The research – published as a staff working paper on July 6 – investigates mismatches in the labour market and finds that fixing mismatches across regions could return UK productivity growth to its pre-crisis trend.
