Mike Hannah discusses central bank's first external stakeholder engagement survey
Strengthening communication and education is the answer to the ‘paradox of transparency', according to Mike Hannah, head of communications and board secretary at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).
Earlier this year the RBNZ published the findings from its first external stakeholder engagement survey, which suggested the more open the central bank becomes, the more it "risks jeopardising the certainty that is valued by the stakeholders".
