IMF report issues call to action on worsening Palestinian economy

The already difficult economic situation in Palestine has worsened in the past six months, requiring urgent co-ordinated action by authorities, a staff report by the IMF has warned.

The report said the economy was "hobbled" by persistent restrictions on movement imposed by Israel and by the continuing political uncertainty in the country.
