Boston Fed president says unwinding QE could take ‘several years’

It could take several years to unwind the Federal Reserve's asset purchase programme, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston president Eric Rosengren.

Rosengren explained that he "strongly and unequivocally" supported the decision to maintain asset purchases at $85 billion a month predominantly because of the "disappointing" economic data that surfaced around the time of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting.

In addition, Rosengren explained, he was concerned that
