Zambian governor calls for shared mobile banking platform
A cooperative approach to mobile banking will help lower usage costs and spread financial inclusiveness, according to Michael Gondwe, the governor of the Bank of Zambia.
Speaking at the Celpay mobile payments conference in Mulungushi, on September 12, Gondwe outlined the importance of individual payments systems operating smoothly with one another, and gaining the ability to settle real-time payments through a shared infrastructure.
This would, Gondwe said, help lower the costs of mobile
