Fed's Duke challenges the myths on women and money

Elizabeth Duke, a governor at the Federal Reserve, on Saturday challenged four myths regarding women and money.

The four myths were that:

* Women focus on non-financial household roles while men deal with the finances. Duke noted that one recent market survey reported that women account for 80% of all consumer purchasing decisions, making 93% of food purchases and 65% of auto purchases, for example.
