Euro level does not reflect"inner strength"

JAPAN - ECB Vice President Christian Noyer speaking at a financial symposium in Tokyo for the introduction of euro notes and coins, said that there was room for the euro to appreciate. Noyer stated that the under-valuation of the euro does not fully reflect economic fundamentals and that, despite the ECB's rate cut and gloomy economic figures, the euro's external value should rise.

"The ECB is interested in a strong euro based on strong economic fundamentals," Noyer told a news conference
