Fed's Bernanke on bank regulation and supervision

In the speech 'Bank regulation and supervision: Balancing benefits and costs' given on 16 October Ben Bernanke of the Federal Reserve said U.S. bank regulators are taking a close look at international differences in the implementation of Basel II.

Bernanke, speaking by video simultaneously to two trade groups, said the study will focus on how the differences from the rules, called Basel II, might adversely affect the international competitiveness of U.S. banks.
