Donald Trump has appointed temporary chairs of the US’s various financial regulators, while forbidding any agencies from issuing directives until permanent heads are in place.

The US president on January 20 named Travis Hill as acting chair of the board of directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
