Bank of Italy sees Brexit having little impact on country

Commercial and financial links less than other European countries, Bank of Italy argues

Brexit is likely to have a limited impact on the Italian economy, the Bank of Italy said in its latest Economic Bulletin, published on July 15. Italy's financial and commercial relationship with Britain was "on the whole less intense" than with other major European economies, the central bank said.

The UK's decision to leave the European Union should consequently have "relatively smaller repercussions on the Italian economy than on Italy's partners", it argued.
