Atlanta Fed paper on evolution of US mobile payments
An Atlanta Federal Reserve paper, published on Wednesday, looks into discussions by the Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup on barriers and opportunities in expanding the market for mobile payments.
Darin Contini, Marianne Crowe, Cynthia Merritt, Richard Oliver, and Steve Mott, the paper's authors, depict the current mobile payments ecosystem in the US; discuss barriers, gaps and opportunities; and put forward a set of foundational elements that the workgroup participants believe are fundamental
