New model for anticipated structural changes
New research from the Reserve Bank of Australia develops a model that is relevant for monetary policy which can allow for anticipated structural changes.
Standard solution methods for linear stochastic models with rational expectations assume an environment in which shocks are unanticipated. The authors develop a solution that allows the models to incorporate anticipated changes to the structural parameters and anticipated additive shocks.
