Sepa implementation: an overview

A new publication from the Bank of Italy gives an up-to-date overview of the Single Euro Payments Area (Sepa) implementation process.

The publication analyses the harmonised rules on the pan-European payment services, which are performed via credit transfers, direct debits and cards. It also looks at the role of central banks in the evolution of payment systems.
