Danish faster payments system sees limited uptake
Authorities should also ensure CPSS/Iosco compliance
A scheme to allow enhanced access to fast settlement of customer payments through Kronos, the payments system run by the National Bank of Denmark, has been met with a disappointing uptake, according to the Danish central bank's latest annual review of payments in the country.
The ‘Transfers via Danmarks Nationalbank' system was introduced in November 2012, but "is not yet used to any considerable extent", the central bank said in its report: Oversight of the financial infrastructure in Denmark
