BoJ Tankan survey shows increased business confidence

The Bank of Japan's Tankan survey, published on July 2, shows a slight increase in the overall confidence reported by large firms (more than 1,000 employees) in the Japanese manufacturing sector.

The Tankan, a quarterly survey of enterprises in Japan, asked 1,173 large enterprises in June whether they considered business conditions to be improving or worsening.
