Bank minutes outlines downside risks to economy
Evidence of continued weakness in growth and household spending reinforced suggestions that risks to economic activity in the UK remained towards the downside, minutes from the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), published on Wednesday, said.
Most members judged that although the risk increased inflation expectations might become entrenched in wage and price-setting was material, there was no evidence yet of it crystallising and that news over the month about demand and activity
