Net lending increases: Bank of England figures
Net lending to individuals in Britain grew by £0.7 billion ($1.16 billion) in September, taking the 3-month annualised growth rate up by a tenth of a percentage point to 0.3%, Bank of England lending figures released on Thursday showed.
The number of mortgage loan approvals in September increased by approximately 6% from August, while approvals for remortgaging declined by 9%. Consumer credit fell by £0.3 billion.
