Fed adopts its fifth form of social media in an effort to reach a greater audience

The Fed is broadening its use of social media

The Federal Reserve Board of Governors has opened up a new line of communication in the form of a Facebook page, bringing it onto a total of five forms of social media.

The Fed said in a statement it had created the Facebook page to increase the "accessibility and availability" of news and educational content about its work.
