Canada looks for new deputy as Côté prepares to stand down

Côté’s replacement to be experienced in macroeconomic models

The Bank of Canada is on the hunt for someone to succeed deputy governor Agathe Côté, who will retire at the end of January after more than 30 years at the central bank.

According to a job advert published today (November 23), in local and international press, the successful candidate must possess "deep and extensive knowledge of macroeconomics, monetary theory and financial markets".
