Buyer sought for RBNZ securities settlement system
Reserve Bank of New Zealand selling 25-year-old infrastructure
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is looking for buyers for its securities settlement system, NZClear, it announced today (June 2).
NZClear has been operated by the RBNZ since the early 1990s, when a majority of operations were still handled manually, but a review last year concluded securities settlement was not a part of its "core business".
