Bank of England publishes history archive online

The Bank of England (BoE) released several thousands of pages from its archive online yesterday, as it seeks to make its historic documents more accessible to the general public and other central banks.

The initial release includes all of the BoE's main publications – including its inflation, financial stability and annual reports – dating back to when they were first published. It also features minutes from the central bank's Court of Directors dating as far back as 1694.
