Hackers target Riksbank in denial-of-service attack
Hackers have targeted the Sveriges Riksbank's website in a denial-of-service attack, leaving the website inaccessible for a number of hours.
A spokesman for the Riksbank confirmed the attack took place late on October 3, with the website down from around 10pm until 3am local time. Other Swedish websites were also hit, including those of the parliament and government.
The spokesman said no sensitive areas of the central bank's IT system were compromised as these are not linked to the website
