Sarb creates new position to streamline support services

The South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) announced today (September 12) the creation of a new role at the central bank, that of chief operating officer.

Pradeep Maharaj, currently head of human resources and transformation at consumer bank Absa Capital, will take up the position on November 1, 2012. He will be responsible for all the support services at the central bank.
