Former governor of Croatian National Bank delivers fiery exit speech

The former governor of the Croatian National Bank (CNB), Željko Rohatinski, on July 4 delivered a no holds barred parting speech at the last central bank Council session he would chair.

The former governor was quietly replaced at the end of his term with deputy governor Boris Vujčić taking over the helm on July 8.

Stepping down from office, Rohatinski unleashed a blistering attack on the lack of "moral virtue" he said existed in politics.
