ECB honours González-Páramo as police remove protestors
Mario Draghi, the president of the European Central Bank (ECB) today opened an event held in honour of José Manuel González-Páramo to mark the end of his eight-year term as a member of the ECB's executive board.
The colloquium on Monetary policy in unconventional times was held inside the ECB headquarters as police carried out an operation to clear a protest camp from outside it.
The occupy camp, which was set up outside the ECB almost a year ago, was cleared "peacefully", according to staff at
