Allan Meltzer awarded Truman Medal

Allan Meltzer, a professor of political economy at Carnegie Mellon University and a member of the Central Banking Publications Advisory Board, will receive the Truman Medal for Economic Policy, the Kansas City Federal Reserve said on Tuesday.

The Kansas City Fed said the award would be presented to Meltzer on October 19, in recognition of his extraordinary career as an economic policy developer, researcher and educator.
