Uncertainty over resignation of Pakistan governor continues
The leadership of the State Bank of Pakistan continues to hang in the balance after the central bank on Friday said Pakistan's government had "not yet" accepted the resignation of its governor, Shahid Kardar.
On Wednesday, newswires reported that Kardar, who joined the central bank in September, had handed in his resignation to Pakistan's finance minister, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh. Officials in Pakistan have been reluctant to discuss the governor's position, with Pakistan's finance ministry unwilling
