Sweden gives Ingves six more years as governor

The general council of the Riksbank has extended Stefan Ingves' term as governor and chairman of the executive board of the Riksbank for six more years, starting on January 1, 2012.

The Riksbank also revealed that first deputy governor Svante Öberg and deputy governor Lars Nyberg have decided to leave the Riksbank at the end of the year when their terms of office expire.
