Irish banks’ pay reforms inadequate: central bank

Ireland's banks have failed to adequately reform pay practices and continue to create incentives for employees to take inappropriate risks, the country's central bank said on Wednesday.

In a review of remuneration policies and practices in Irish retail banks and building societies, the Central Bank of Ireland said only one bank out of six had taken obvious measures to reform its remuneration policies and practices.
