Gono’s alleged affair stirs varied reactions
Allegations that Gideon Gono, the governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), has had an affair with Grace Mugabe, the wife of President Robert Mugabe, have sparked markedly different reactions from local and international media sources.
The Sunday Times, a South African newspaper, first reported on 24 October that Gono and Grace Mugabe had been involved since 2005, meeting overseas or at a farm owned by the First Lady about an hour outside Harare. The report was seized by international
