Øystein Olsen named next Norges Bank chief
Øystein Olsen, the managing director of Norway's national statistics body, will take over as governor of the Norges Bank from next year.
"With Øystein Olsen as governor, we will have a skilful leader at the central bank," Sigbjørn Johnsen, Norway's finance minister, said on Friday. "He is a knowledgeable economist and I am confident he will do a good job."
