Angola appoints new governor

The President of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, named José de Lima Massano as governor of the National Bank of Angola on Tuesday.

Prior to his appointment, Massano was the chief executive of Banco Africano de Investimentos (BAI), Angola's biggest private-sector bank. A spokesperson at the central bank on Thursday confirmed Massano's appointment which was effective on Tuesday.
