Brazil names new head of foreign affairs

The Central Bank of Brazil said on Thursday that it had appointed a new director of international affairs. Carlos Hamilton Araujo, who is at present head of its research department, will take the job as of next week.

The central bank's current head of international affairs, Maria Celina Arraes, has left to resume her position with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The central bank said on its website that Arraes had only been at the central bank temporarily, and that her return
