Botswana extends note exchange

Botswana's central bank announced measures to facilitate the exchange of old pula banknotes Tuesday, as confusion about the original deadline in the country resulted in many missing it. The scheme has been extended to 31 March this year, and the public will now be able to swap their old notes for new currency at branches of the Botswana Building Society, Botswana Savings Bank and the Botswana Postal Services.

Chepete Chepete, the Bank of Botswana's public relations officer, told CentralBanking
