Brazil’s Meirelles joins BIS board
Henrique de Campo Meirelles, the governor of the Central Bank of Brazil, was elected to the board of directors at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) on Monday.
Lisa Weekes, a spokesperson for the Basel-based bank, told CentralBanking.com that Meirelles was filling the vacancy created by outgoing board chairman, Guillermo Ortiz.
