Card payments continue to soar
Non-cash payments volumes grew by 8.6% in 2007 to 250 billion transactions, a report out Wednesday said.
The World Payments Report - the work of Capgemini, a consultancy, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the European Financial Management & Marketing Association, a trade body - cited global card transactions, which grew by 11.2% the year before last, as the key driver of the surge.
Global markets were dominated by the US and the eurozone, which accounted for 61% of transactions, though developing
