New ECB payments head to chair eurosystem committee
Daniela Russo, the deputy director general of the European Central Bank's payments and market infrastructure department, will succeed Jean-Michel Godeffroy as departmental head later this month. Russo will also chair the eurosystem's Payment and Settlement Systems Committee.
Russo will become director general of payments and market infrastructure on 15 August. She will become chair of the committee on 1 September.
Russo was appointed deputy director general in June 2005 and has been at the ECB
