Payments end-users bemoan lack of Sepa dialogue

The Payment Systems End User Committee (EUC), an amalgam of groups representing European businesses and consumers on payments issues, has called for more involvement in plans to create a Single Euro Payments Area (Sepa).

The committee said in a report out Tuesday there was a lack of consultation on the Sepa direct debit scheme, scheduled for introduction in November; Sepa's governance; the European Central Bank's (ECB) recent call for end-dates for the migration to a new system; and pricing.
