New York Fed appoints new executive vice president

The New York Federal Reserve has named Susan Ward Mink as executive vice president responsible for human resources.

It is the first time that the New York Fed has made the head of human resources an executive vice president.

"The creation of this new executive position at the Fed reflects the great importance we attach to the recruitment, retention and development of a diverse and highly capable staff who are essential to carrying out our mission," William Dudley, the president of the New York
