Breather won by Bank Indonesia on $1.3bn loans

INDONESIA - Indonesia has won a further reprieve in efforts to tackle its massive foreign debt burden, it was announced on Monday. Bank Indonesia, the central bank, said it has reached a rescheduling agreement with the steering committee of the London Club of commercial creditors to extend the repayment period of a syndicated loan worth 242.9 million dollars and 6.5 billion yen (52.4 million dollars) to 17.5 years.
