Norges Bank reduces interest rates by 1 per cent

Norges Bank, the central bank of Norway, cut its main interest rate by 1 per cent to 4 per cent on 25 June.

Norges Bank has decided to reduce the interest rate on banks' deposits with Norges Bank, the sight deposit rate, by 1.00 percentage point to 4.00 per cent, with effect from 26 June. The interest rate on banks' overnight loans will also be reduced by 1.00 percentage point.
