Olympic banknotes spark queues in Hong Kong

The release of special banknotes to mark the Beijing Olympics has prompted queues outside the Bank of China's Hong Kong branches.

AFP, a news agency, reported on Monday that hundreds of residents eager to get their hands on HK$20 ($2.57) notes commemorating the Olympics had gathered outside the bank's branches. The queues for the notes, which are not circulated until Wednesday, were impacted by a storm on Monday evening, which led to the bank offering banknote purchase vouchers. However, Reuters
