ECB Welteke sees euro zone recovery "rather soon"

DENMARK - Bundesbank President Ernst Welteke on Monday voiced cautious optimism that the euro zone economy would recover relatively soon and reiterated recent monetary developments did not pose an inflation risk.

Asked about the prospects for a euro zone pickup from its current slump, Welteke said: "I am a bit optimistic...we should come back to recovery rather soon." He added he was also cautiously optimistic about the outlook for next year.
