Thank you, academics, for making up my mind

UK - A letter signed by 15 leading UK academics supporting Britain's entry into the euro has provoked several passionate responses.

The Financial Times in London published a letter on 5 June supporting the UK's participation in the single currency, the euro.

The letter was written by Professor Richard Portes, Professor of Economics at the London Business School and was signed by 14 other leading university academics in the UK.

They suggest in their argument that Britain has gained significantly
