Litas banknotes well protected - experts

LITHUANIA - The Lithuanian national currency banknotes have more security features than the new E.U. currency, the euro, the central Bank of Lithuania said following visit by experts from the National Bank of Belgium.

The Belgian experts singled out the windowed security thread fluorescent in rainbow colours and microperforation of the denomination numeral visible when the note is held up to the light from among the security features of the litas banknotes.
