Japan's economy set for biggest decline in 20 year

JAPAN - The Japanese economy is set for its most dramatic decline in at least 20 years, the government has admitted.

The forecast of a 0.9 per cent contraction in the year to March 2002 marks a striking reversal of its previous predictions. The forecast, if accurate, will cause severe problems across Asia
