Brief History

Established on 28 December 1990, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBB) is owned by the state and reports to the President of the republic. The main objectives of the National Bank shall be as follows: ensuring price stability; ensuring stability of the banking system of the Republic of Belarus; and ensuring efficient, reliable and secure functioning of the payment system.
