Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland cut rates

25bp cuts across Europe follow Fed’s footsteps

The Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland all eased monetary policy by 25 basis points this week.

In Switzerland, inflation fell quicker than the central bank anticipated, Sweden’s recession is almost bottoming out and the Czech Republic’s economic recovery is still slow.

The Swiss National Bank cut its policy rate to 1% on September 26. This is the third time the SNB has cut rates this year.
