Most of the central banks participating in the Financial Stability Benchmarks 2023 run regular banking sector stress tests.
Out of 31 respondents, 30 (96.8%) say they do run stress tests. Only one respondent, from a lower-middle income country in the Asia-Pacific, says it does not.
Of the 30 respondents answering a question on how often they run stress tests, 17 (56.7%) do so more than once a year. Another 11, or 36.7%, say they do the same exercise once a year. Two (6.7%) central banks say
