The European Central Bank (ECB) opened a public consultation on new themes for the euro’s new banknotes today (July 10).

European citizens from the 20 eurozone member states will be able to participate in the survey from today until August 31, 2023. Additionally, in order to ensure citizens from across the region are equally represented, the central bank has contracted an independent research firm to carry out a complementary study including the same questions with a representative sample.
